Consider the Lobster was written by David Foster Wallace and is about the Maine Lobster Festival. When you first start reading the article, it talks about how the Festival is really fun and entertaining with the food and all that. Then David decided to look at the Festival in a different aspect that most people wouldn’t usually look at in that way. while I was reading this, I kind of got an uneasy feeling in my gut because it makes you think about what else is out there that people enjoy regularly but don’t think of the inhumane ness of it or what is overlooked by society. For my project, this article is something that will go along hand in hand because I’m doing my project on Black people and we all know that everything isn’t as good as it seems when it comes to prejudice and discrimination. David’s article shed some light on something that most people don’t bother to think about and in a way, I feel like when I do my project, I’m going to be like David but just on a different topic.
